Lamda Defence GHM9-SD

Shadow Foam

Lamda Defence GHM9-SD

This case is 1 of 2 cases that the customer requested, for this one they REALLY wanted pink foam in both the bottom and the top however Shadow Foam have sadly discontinued their pink foam, I’m not sure why currently.

The customer in this instance actually had the lower half already as they had originally planned to do it themselves, but instead opted to have me do it instead, unfortunately they didn’t have the lid. So purple was our only choice that wouldn’t clash too dramatically.

This was possibly the quickest case I’ve done yet, the logo took a measly 15 minutes to complete, the rest of the time was spent measuring and arranging the layout with the customer. The worst part about this job though is that the spray adhesive I use decided that the nozzle wasn’t going to work correctly and got stuck, I was able to get the adhesive into the case and on the back of the foam but it didn’t stop after that, so now there’s a can down the side of my workshop likely stuck to the wall. . . I should go check on that. . . I also recorded a short timelapse of cutting out the lid which you can see below (coming soon).

VMP-2S Medium Case (It’s not mine!)

VMP-2S Medium Case (It’s not mine!)

Ok so this case was for the same guy who wanted the GHM-9 SD case.

With both cases the MP9 style stick mags really lend themselves well to being in a line and a finger channel cut out, the downside to this though is that the retention is reliant on all the mags being present or the walls of the slots will want to bend away from the mags.

You can also see due to the stock height when folded it dents the lid, it is what it is and the customer seems to be happy with it.

Oh, my logo? That was their idea after I mentioned putting my logo in is free! It feels just a little too self aggrandising to charge someone to have my logo in their shit.

Wolverine MTW and TT Pistol Large Case

Wolverine MTW and TT Pistol Large Case

This case was a bit different than normal, mostly because I did it as a trade for some digital NVGs and a NV Optic. So because it was essentially unpaid work I kept putting it on the back burner.

When I did eventually get time to book it in, I was given very little to work with beyond the wolverine logo, and the John Wick silhouette. In fact, the layout the customer suggested is mostly unchanged except for the pistols.

You see, this particular customer is left handed, so I swapped the rifle to reflect that (also because of the torch but lets pretend that it’s because of the left handed thing).

Then as soon as I saw what he wanted by the pistols, I just KNEW I had to change it up. The crossed pistols look really suits it I think!

Asahi M60

Asahi M60

This job has been a long time in the making, ever since I first laid hands on the Asahi M60 I knew it had to have one of these cases, it’s just too rare and precious not to! That and the owner was lugging it around in a fabric case the madman!

I had to do a lot of digging to find the appropriate Katakana for the “logo”, because fun fact, Japanese companies rarely actually have logos! For the most part they will use Katakana, Kanji, or Hiragana character as opposed to a logo.

Raresoft came in clutch as well confirming what the characters were. In fact, you can watch the lid being cut out in the YouTube video below!

OP Nemesis Raffle Donation

OP Nemesis Raffle Donation

This job came about because of my poor impulse control and wanting to do something nice.

The VMP-2 hasn’t had the greatest launch but with the fixes we’ve developed over in my development community discord it’s now actually not only viable, but also pretty good! So when I saw the VMP-2M included in the raffle prizes for the SLMF Op Nemesis event I thought that some might consider it a bit of a crappy prize due to the launch problems. Thus, I asked Will if I could donate a few things to the raffle to be included with this prize.

Originally it was just the TDC Tensioners, the replacement reset arm and then a £30 off voucher for the CNC nozzle that was soon to be released.

I had already purchased a case and Teal Shadow Foam for my Noveske N4 but I couldn’t help but keep glancing at it while doing some tech work.

Eventually I thought it doesn’t hurt to ask, so I checked with Will to see if this could also be added, I got a very enthusiastic yes!

Typically I need the replica to hand to cut it into the case, however this time I luckily just so happen to have a VMP-2M in my workshop! So with the owners permission I used it to create this case.

I really wanted to sell the idea of it being unique and a one off, so I made sure to include the OP Nemesis title at the top.

The prize included 2 extra short mags so I made sure to cut slots for those plus the included long mag, I then proceeded to cut another 2 slots so that whomever won it would be able to easily expand to accommodate the extra mags.

When the first number was drawn from the raffle, much to my surprise, the winner picked this prize! My terrible lack of self esteem was well and truly shocked!

I grabbed them after the raffle was complete and asked if they had puchased one of the challenge coins from the event and they had, so I offered to cut that into the lid to which they clearly accepted. I really enjoyed making this one.

Noveske N4

Noveske N4

So I actually messed this one up a little (It’s my own I care less). I didn’t take enough time to think about how I was arraying the shot shells on the bottom right and so the underside is a bit of a mess, I know no one will see it but I know it’s there.

I mostly wanted as clean a look as possible and so opted for just my logo and the Noveske logo. I think it turned out quite well!

My personal MTW case

After doing the super clean looking Noveske N4 case for myself, I looked at my haggard and abused case and decided that yeah I needed a do-over. . . plus I had decided to experiment a little with the old one and it looked damned ugly (don’t apply a heat gun to the top layer, trust me).

So using the same idea of just the gun and its addons I set out to do a new one! Now I know it’s missing the vertical grip and a red dot in there which I do plan to add, but only once I find a red dot or holo I actually like. Until then it’s going to look like this.
